“Business is all about the Consumer”
Where they go, what they do, how they act. You must know it all.
Never enter a meeting without supporting data: You should have all the data that you have used to make the decision about asking the employee to quit. So if it is due to poor performance – make sure you have all the performance records, appraisals, previous warnings etc. If the employee is being asked to quit due to integrity issues make sure you have all the details of the evidence that has been collected to support your case. Not having that evidence would be like deciding to order cable television without exploring. You need to know options.
Although Trump may have made an aggressive termination popular on, doesn’t mean it’s a good way to fire an employee. Never communicate the decision over the phone: Always do it in person. Never inform the employee that he/ she has been asked to quit by an email or suddenly deactivating their email accounts or access cards to the office. Though the decision and communication will never be easy – all you can do is exhibit empathy to make the experience bearable for the employee.
